Brad Tansey

Brad Tansey, 22, grew up in South Amherst, Ohio where he learned to love the outdoors at a young age with his dad, Tim. From the time Brad could barely remember, he was out in the woods sitting with his dad. Brad took his first deer, a doe, when he was 13 years old on an Ohio Youth hunt. From that moment on, Brad loved hunting more than anything.
When Brad turned 16, he started getting into bow hunting. When he killed his first buck with a bow, a 9-point, he was hooked for life.
When he's not in the woods, Brad studies newspaper journalism at Kent State University in hopes of becoming an outdoor writer one day. Brad says "A bad day in the woods always beats a good day at work."
On his first trip with the OI crew, Brad was mistakenly called "Garrie." Nobody has any idea how that name came about, but somehow the name stuck. His nickname around everyone is now Garrie, thanks to the rest of the gang.
Brad "Garrie" joined the OI team in early 2011. He looks forward to contributing to the team in the seasons to come. Brad maintains OutdoorInsightsTV.com
